Options:
The game has a total of 10 levels. The user
has the option to go in between levels and play in whichever difficulty
they desire. Which is what the "Level" tab is for. There is then a "Game"
tab in which the user can play straight meaning that in order to get
to the next level they have to pass the previous level. There is
also a highscore tab that displays highscores. There is also an audio
tab to listen to everthing indiviually.
The point of the game:
Is to test whether a person is better at recognizing certain speech cues in a sentence with a high amount of background noise. Encourage users to pay attention to pronunciation of certain words in a sentence or phrase. The game gathers data and helps identify what sentence or phrase was easiest said. It helps round up what words are easier to hear.
How to play:
The game has the video screen below that should not be clicked. Under the video screen are two buttons "Play Video" and "Pause Video" Those two buttons will control the game in terms of hearing. Above the video screen it will show the points you can get above the game screen for each level as well as your current score. If answered incorrectly it will deduct a different amount of points depending on the level. If answered correctly 200 points will be added. The user must listen and try to decipher the sentence or phrase being said. To answer the user types in the answer into the box below the play screen and then click submit. Two pop up boxes should appear on your screen one confirming whether or not your answer was correct or not. The second box will take your answer and send it to a realtime database to gather information.
